Searh engine dari Microsoft ini tampaknya akan menjadi kompetitor yang paling diperhitungkan Google, online pada 3 Juni 2009, popularitas bing.com melesat dengan cepat, pada 10 Juni 2009 peringkat bing.com berdasarkan Alexa telah mencapai 1547.

Banyak hal baru yang dapat ditemukan pada bing.com, jika Google dikenal dengan logo yang yang kadang berubah tergantung pada event tertentu, maka tampilan khas bing.com adalah pada gambar latar yang berubah setiap hari. Mirip dengan Google, Bing video, shopping,news, map, dan lain-lain, walaupun beberapa fitur hanya tampil jika konfigurasi diatur pada negara tertentu.

Hasil pencarian juga ditampilkan dengan respon yang cepat, bahkan terkadang banyaknya jumlah results yang diperoleh Bing untuk sebagian keyword melebihi Google. Lalu, apakah Bing juga cerdas? Perbedaan yang cukup terasa adalah adanya panel di sebelah kiri (disebut juga dengan Explore Pane) yang memandu Anda untuk menelusuri lebih jauh sebuah keyword.Contohnya jika Anda mengetikan keyword "Diablo III" (sebuah game RPG), maka panel sebelah kiri akan menampilkan shortcut link untuk pencarian lebih lanjut yang sempit, apakah yang Anda makssudkan Diablo III Walktrough, Website, Review, dan seterusnya.

Bagaimana Bing memiliki kecerdasan seperti contoh di atas? Teknologi di belakang Bing adalah engine yang dikembangkan oleh Powerset, yang dibeli Microsoft pada tahun 2008.Power set membangung natural language engine yang dapat mencari berbagai alternatif jawaban dari pertanyaan pengguna, tidak terpaku pada pencarian berdasrkan keyword saja.

Video akan tampil dalam bentuk thumbnail, dan video tersebut dapat langsung berjalan dengan mendekatkan mouse pada thumbnail. Ternyata selain cerdas, Bing juga memiliki fitur canggih dan menarik.
